    L'aereo sotto al titolo è un nuovo Saberwing, fornito in kit di montaggio dalla Azalea Aviation. Nascosto sotto la cofanatura vi è un motore che ha fatto la storia dell'automobilismo americano, perché era montato sull'auto più importante e innovativa prodotta negli Stati Uniti del dopoguerra, la Chevrolet Corvair.   Che la bella Chevrolet Corvair si meritasse un grande successo era gi à chiaro quando fu lanciata dalla General Motors nell’ormai lontano 1960. Il cuore della Corvair era il suo motore a sei cilindri “boxer” di alluminio, raffreddato ad aria, installato posteriormente, il quale rompeva completamente con la tradizione americana.       If it were lined up with the other aircraft of the 200 series that Dr. Castoldi designed for Macchi the C.203 would certainly look like it did not belong. Why was it given that designation? With this article Giovanni Massimello sheds some light on an almost unknown but very interesting airplane and on the apparently messy designation system applied by Aer.Macchi in the years that preceded, and during, World War II.
